Just installed Moz Firebird on a relative's old P166, 32MB RAM, Win95.
Purrs along nicely.

After much communication/help on a Firebird forum, this appears to me to
be a real glitch. Firebird 6.1 creates extra folders
(Mozilla/Phoenix/Talkback) in a location other than it's own folder on
the hard drive every time it runs.

Has anyone else seen this?

Nope.

You mare probably using Win9x, but on my Win2K installation, here is
what is listed on the C:\ partition: (Firebird is on its own
partition, G:\) By the way, I have 2 instances of Firebird running
now.

C:\Documents and Setting\Administrator\Application
Data\Phoenix\Profiles\Default\30m83gobblegygook.slt

This last folder contains bookmarks.html, history.dat, and what looks
like other config files. subfolders below that folder are Cache,
Cache.Trash, and Chrome.

Mozilla 1.4 has the same structure on C:

Opera (7) has a similar structure on C:

I did a search of files and folders on "Talkback". 4 files were
listed under:

G:\MozillaFirebird\Components, and 1 under
...\components\Netscape\MozillaFirebird.

I did a Registry search got 6 hits - 5 on
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\FullCircle\TalkBack\...&
NetscapeGecko1.4Win322gobbledygook (4 folders) and one
...\NetscapeMozillaFirebirdWin322gobbledygook. No values or data.

Also, there was a key in HKEY_USERS\..... \FilesNamedMRU for
Internet Explorer with a value of 000 and data of Talkback

So, no Mozilla/Phoenix/Talkback found on my machine
