ATI, new card?

I am a big time AMDer - I sell only AMD systems to clients... low cost
with excellent performance. But the weakness of AMD is in single task
jobs such as 3DRendering - so I'd recommend the P4 for that.

My next CPU of course would be AMD again ;)

Yes, for my next upgrade, I am extremely tempted to go with AMD. One
of the reasons is cos its cheaper.
But, apparently, the Punkbuster software (used to detect cheaters in
online games) doesn't work very well if one is using an AMD cpu with
an ATI card. Don't ask me why, though. Something to do with the way it
probes systems.
100s of users have this problem, all have an AMD+ATI config.

Hi Darthy,
Sweet case - How do you think it compares to the Lian-Li PC-75/75B? (don't
let the Lian-Li price influence your response <s>.

Then... perhaps its a problem with the software... ;)

Seems like sloppy programming to me...

I prefer the older KingWin cases to the LianLi - both are excellent
cases. The comparision between the Lian Li and the Thermaltake /
Enermax is a matter of opinion and goals.

Check out this KingWin: http://ap.terrabox.com/photos/xppc.htm

For example, while Motherboard trays are kinda NEAT - they are a good
choice for someome who is constantly ADDING parts to their system.

Personally, I find them to be more trouble than their worth for most
systems. With typical cases (that I use) its not a problem to drop in
the board, screw it down and be done with it. Sometimes, Mobo-trays
are a PAIN because you may have to remove them to add certain
components and you have to UNPLUG the power / data & front panel
connectors.

When I worked with both of these (Kingwin/LianLi vs the Enermax 101
series like the one pictured in the other link) I prefer the Enermax -
I love how the door works and the ease of popping in drives.
