I'd like to be able to collect the icons from my Favorites into a
folder so that I can use them elsewhere outside of Favorites, or for
several URLS within Favorites as a method of additional categorizaton.
Since Favorites consists of a collection of folders rather than just
one, I wondered if any freeware might accomplish the deed.

I'm using XP, if that's relevant. Thanks in advance.

There used to be a program called FavOrg that harvested icons. Do a Google
search and you will probably find it.

FavOrg didn't do the trick for me with WinXP Pro...didn't load any icon
files to go with the favorites, just changed some of the icons from "e" to
icon for page, such as used for the icon for a .dat extension. Besides, it
is no longer freeware as it is a PC Magazine program and they charge to
download.

The best one I found is a freeware program called IconSucker. Do a
google search for the download site, or probably you can get it at
WebAttack. I tried several, and this one on XP worked the best.
