You MS naysayers please don't be ugly and screw up my post. This is a
serious question and it is not intended to be sarcastic.

I just bought XP Pro SP2, the OEM version, from Newegg. It cost me $150
and
Newegg won't take the cd back. I have had all kinds of quirks with this
version and I want to go back to sp1. However, my other version of XP is
the
Home version and it is an an upgrade version that sometimes causes me to
have to activate. And no I cannot do an uninstall, because I installed it
after formatting.

1) Is there anyway I can get this XP Pro version to install without the
SP2?

2) Can I begin the install and then after it asks me for my serial and I
enter it, can I put in the sp1 disk I have that I ordered from MS? What
would be the result of that?

3) Is there anyway I can get my money back from MS for this? (Serious
question; trolls please leave my post alone.)

This guy has been trolling all over the newsgroups. He has no question.
He's just trying to start a fight.

Oddly enough, we have installed SP2 on hundreds of computers that are
all part of our corporate network, and they work just fine.

Maybe your problem is located between the chair and the keyboard? ;-)

Yes, my experience would seem to indicate that your correct.
