Any need for floppy drive in a new system?

Umm, No. A power user would use any of many different bootable
utility CDs. In some cases, a power user might slipstream whatever
it is into his Windows XP installation disk. For portable storage,
use a USB flash drive.

It should be called the Wonder Utility. After you use it, you wonder
why.
But then what would I do with all these free floppy drives I have
lying around here?

You could give them away, but good luck finding anyone who would
take them.

Flat head screwdrivers are prehistoric and "there is no need of
them" either, but no good handyman would throw out all he had in
his toolbox!. Keep om reading here son, there is lots to learn in
this group!

I haven't tried using a floppy drive to remove screws. Hmm. How much
data can you store on an average screw?

I still install them, if for no other reason than they are easy to use for a
number of utilities.......although I am moving more and more to thumb
drives. I guess as long as MBs and cases still support them I will slap one
in. I don't think that will be for very long though.
