No it isn't.

The shortcut you mentioned goes to GIANTAntiSpywareMain.exe update.

The one that works is executing GIANTAntiSpywareUpdater.exe

Clearly I didn't look at the issue properly--I looked at the active programs
accessing the Internet, and the name was truncated........

I use FreshDownload from FreshDevices for 3 or 4 years now, never have
problems downloading, if there is a duplicate url in the list then the
option come up to re download the file and at up counting number at the
file, so later you can see if it is a newer version, I download to a
special map with sub maps for the kind of file I download.
If the file contents a virus my scanner delete the file, so this way i
have also older files from the same program and if a program is not
function well, then I can take the won that was alright.
So my advice use Freshdownload for all your downloading, it can
integrate in IE Firefox Opera Netscape.
