AntiSpyware Won't Run...

Not exactly. I had to run the executable file with the -a switch. Then I
copied the file in question from the folder that the installation files were
extracted to into windows\system32. Then I ran the regsvr comdlg32.ocx and
it then registered successfully and the problem was resolved.

Got it--so--the issue really was that this executable was removed by
something from your system, it seems to me. One app that removes things
from systems, of course, is Microsoft Antispyware. Anything remotely
interesting in the cleaner.log file for your system in the install directory
for Microsoft Antispyware (typically c:\program files\microsoft
antispyware?)

I wouldn't know. I had to uninstall and reinstall. I removed the old
installation folder and everything in it. The new folder didn't have a
cleaner.log file until I was able to run a scan. And that wasn't until
after we fixed the problem.
Thanks again,
Ed

Thanks--some files are left behind by the standard uninstall, but I guess
that isn't one of them--too bad.
