Yup, the first I was exposed to was the IBM 705, back around 1960.
It was the most unique of all of IBMs computers in that a computer
company (who shall remain nameless but who's initials were GE) had won
a contract to install one of their computers at Arizona State
University. They hadn't built a working computer yet.... so they
leased IBMs, installed it and photographed it for their brochures with
every IBM tag neatly covered by a bit of electrical tape!
For some reason (maybe not too hard to figure out), the unnamed company
who's initials were GE didn't succeed in the computer business....
