A tree question

Arrr… poor squirrels have nowhere to hide their nuts now.:D

Aahh, no, we wouldn't deprive them... there is a big oak just out of shot in our hedge, and another further along from that, plus more willow, bird cherry, holly ... so they're well catered-for. Bless 'em. :D

Besides... we wouldn't dare argue with this...

He's a sniper for "C.H.A.S.T.I.T.Y" (Caerphilly Heavy Artillery Squadron for Tree-Intelligence and Tactical Yomps) ;)

They were very brave tree fellers especially with the CHASTITY snipers around

Actually, you were a really great help Abarbarian, because we were given all sorts of quotes (as you can probably imagine...) but the men in stetsons who were riding horses (cold callers) quoted the highest prices. We wouldn't have let them loose on it of course, but it was interesting to hear their figures. :p £650 came top  You gave us good guidance on what would be fair, otherwise, we wouldn't have had a clue  So Thank you!

The team who did the job are fully qualified professionals who take on contracts for Councils and so forth, so they worked safely, efficiently and very cleanly too. We were happy for the stump to be left - it's actually growing out of a pile of stones, originally dug out of the garden, so it would have been hazardous for them to try sawing into that. Didn't want any accidents  Terry will probably drill a few holes and pop in some root killer we bought at the garden centre.

Yippee, room for a decent-sized shed now
