Other then being able to run higher settings on games, running in SLI wont, and is not supposed to make it a much better picture, its the same technology. However, you will see a huge jump in fps and in first person shooters it usually becomes apparent in most cases just because you dont get the occasional lag spikes as much (when caused by bandwidth/cpu overload). I run 750fps, the advantage is most noticiable when others lag, or when theres some server lag; since its not a steady stream of information to process, getting it done faster dramatically helps your chance of staying alive.
