Still sounds OK as you do have ReadyBoot causing he post boot activity burst
and a little after that and then SuperFetch is always watching reading and
writing to either the scenario db files or pulling stuff to memory ready for
when you want to do something etc.
Maybe you should just stop staring at your drive lights and only worry if
your day to day work is suffering a performance hit
