Outlook 2003 Freezing

Greetings,
I have Office 2003 (SP2) installed on a clean windows xp machine.
The only other programs installed are Adobe Creative Suite 2 including
Acrobat, and Winfax Pro 9.
Everytime I start Outlook, it freezes and stops responding. I tried
restarting in safe mode with no results. Then I uninstalled Office
2003 and reinstalled it. However, Outlook kept knowledge of all my
email accounts, from both my ISP and Hotmail. And continued to stop
responding.
Are there any ideas how to rectify this? Or at least make outlook
forget about my email accounts? Where is the information stored? I
would like to start with a really fresh install, I assume unistalling
the program leaves information behind.

Thank you for your time and help.

First, I would get rid of WinFax or at least its "office integration."

While it may not be the cause, WInfax Pro v9 is documented to not work with
Outlook 2003.

Did you try a new mail profile?

Thank you, I will get rid of Winfax 9.0. I will try to get hold of a
later version that may work with outlook 2003.
The other thing is that why does Outlook leave account information
behind when uninstalled and how do I remove it?

Outlook doesn't leave the account information behind, but uses the mail
applet in the control panel to detect mail accounts. I would check that first
and delete any profiles that may be stored inside of there. Try that and you
will see Outlook start with a configuration wizard.

V10.04 is what you want.

It's in the mail profile in the Windows registry, as I indicated. Create a
new one and that will clear it out. See my previous reference.
