Testing Zorin after downloading it & making the flash drive bootable.
Going to run it via the flash drive whilst testing and evaluating it.
And i like what i see so far, So no shouting at Bootneck, yet!!!

Once used to it am thinking of dual booting it on my old laptop?
The idea at the end is to put it on the main pc and may be going to it as the only O/S?

This thread might be a long on or very short!!!!!!!!

Bootneck - What application is Wine?

WINE is an application that is supposed to run Windows software within Linux Distros. With mixed results, apparently. I don't favour it myself, I mean - what's the point? Like having a bath with your boots on.

I'll have to have a look at this Zorin, I'm still using latest version of Mint myself, I reckon it's by far the easiest distro I've ever used, so my curiosity is up on this Z thingie.

This is the only WINE I'm familiar with

:lol:Nice one feckit i'll have another glass, I do rather agree with Mr Flops but it does work with some Windows software but don't be surprised if you have mixed results.

Zorin is 'supposed' to look and act like Windows 7, albeit with the Linux implementations.

This is the only reason I see people choosing it over another Linux distro.

It can't run Windows applications.

Wine Is Not an Emulator. :)

I do like what i see with Zorin and will continue to test it via the flash drive.
