I have the "Vista Compatible" Zonet zew2502 wireless usb adaptor (driver
v1.0.0.49 Marvell Semiconductor Inc.) and the problem I am having is EXACTLY
every 60 seconds I experience severe choppy audio and video for 5 seconds
which then smooths out until 60 seconds later where it repeats indefinitely.
I did a system recovery and the first and only piece of software I installed
was the driver which made the problem recur. The only way I can get this
problem to go away is to delete the driver wherein my audio and video behaves
as normal. I am up to date on all updates and still have the annoying
problem. I have contacted HP and Zonet tech support with no success. The
usb adaptor worked flawlessly on Windows XP Media Center so I know it is not
the cause of the problem. Is there perhaps an alternative driver I could use
in its place as I am tired of deleting the driver everytime I am not using
the internet so I can enjoy proper use out of my computer? I have run all
hardware diagnostic tests which passed 100%. I am ready to throw this thing
in the trash and I am not willing to pay $ for tech support from Microsoft
(especially when the darn thing cost only $30). Or could someone suggest a
different USB adaptor that is actually Vista compatible? Thank you.
