Hello,
I somehow managed to make ( My computer) appear in the Zone box on the
Security Tab of Internet Options.
Does anyone know how I can set it to default so that it does not appear in
the Zone box?
IE6 with SP2
O/S: Win XP PRO SP2.

Hello Don,
thank you for articles 315933 and 322756 but unfortunately there is nothing
there to help me.
As a matter of fact after checking the registry and according to the data
value of the Flags, article 315933, I should not be seeing (My Computer)in
the Security Zone box.
Could there be another article concerning this problem and SP2?I have Win XP
Pro SP2 (IE6)

Hi,
Unless there's another switch for that hidden somewhere in XP Pro, that
registry edit is the only method I've heard of to make My Computer visible
in Security Zones. Sorry.

Gus,

Deduct "32" (decimal, not HEX) from the existing Flags value.

Correction:

Add "32" (decimal) if you want to hide the My Computer zone in IE Options,
and vice-versa.
