It is sais that Zone Alarm Pro doesn't support Vista, is it ture?

Hi John, I had Zone Alarm Pro on my Vista Premium and it worked fine for
about 2 months, then after a couple of updates it went pear shaped and
stopped me from accessing the internet. I've heard that Zone Alarm, the
free version still works, although I haven't tried it myself. PC Tools
freebie firewall got some good review, so you could try checking it out on
the web. Hope you get sorted.

Hi, SUMO,

Did you mean ZA 2009 version?

You are not going to find anything better than the Vista FW and Vista in
itself due to the advanced features the FW and Vista are using.

"If you try to block outbound connections from a computer that’s already
compromised, how can you be sure that the computer is really doing what you
ask? The answer: you can’t. Outbound protection is security theater—it’s a
gimmick that only gives the impression of improving your security without
doing anything that actually does improve your security. This is why
outbound protection didn’t exist in the Windows XP firewall and why it
doesn’t exist in the Windows Vista™ firewall."

Zone Alarm (according to their website) supports Vista32-bit and 64-bit
- however the Free firewall supports only 32-bit OS's

So is anything Kayman posts.

This is why

And because MS doesn't want you to stop their applications from
phoning home.

'You are not going to find anything better than the Vista FW and Vista

As an objective statement it stands, regardless of personal opinions!

Harry.

Kayman is more than correct with that statement +Bob+ .And as a matter of fact with
all that he posted.
