Zone Alarm hanging up?

If there is no activity on my high speed cable internet connection, like for
an hour or so, Zone Alarm prevents all further communication between browser
and web. Outlook Express still works okay but Firefox, and IE and Maxthon
are all unable to make connection. If I shut down Zone Alarm they make
connection immediately but restoring ZA stops everything once again. My
only solution has been to reboot. Anyone have a solution to this? I am
using XP with SP2 installed but this was happening before the SP2 upgrade.
