Does anyone know where to download a zip (no install) of the latest version
of MyIE2?

TIA,

What is the difference between the Lite and Combo version?

From the page:

"This [combo] version Includes more plugins and skins...Lite version
only includes one skin and default plugins"

Beyond that, I'm not sure.
I remember now I downloaded the combo version, but was left
wondering where the zip was for the combo version.

It doesn't look like there is one, but that's just a guess.

An evaluation version of AIRoboForm (which MyIE2 now supports) is bundled in
the combo. That's why the file is so much bigger than normal. The RoboForm
eval. is approx. 1.2MB in size. During MyIE2 install (if using the
installer), you are given an opportunity to install RoboForm, whose own
installer actually attempts to run without any user intervention! Just click
cancel, which I did. The installer is placed in a sub-folder of MyIE2 called
AIRoboForm which can also be deleted after install if you don't think you'll
want to ever try it.

I think MyIE2 should have been more explicit about what was included with
the combo. To just say "more skins and plugins" was a little sketchy (and
with the large size of the download, I didn't quite believe that it was all
about skins and plugins). Had I known the bulk of the download was Roboform,
I would have skipped the combo.

Anyway, no ultimate harm, as you can cancel out of the RoboForm install (if
using the installer... with the zip it makes even less difference). And the
latest version of MyIE2 is great, so I wouldn't let this dissuade you. Just
hope this semi-heavy-handedness doesn't indicate things to come.

Quote from: http://www.myie2.com/html_en/tour/07googlebar.htm

"Because of the limitation of google bar, it could not be used under win9x
with MYIE2's tabbed interface. Trying to use google bar with MYIE2 under
win9x will caused unexpected errors. We hope google could release a fix for
this problem soon."

That dissuades me real quick. I kind of feel let down by Google that they
would not support underdog browsers. Sure... that's not where the money
is, but I was hoping for more than that. Mozilla or K-Meleon for instance,
with those being open source and all. Opera, in contrast, hides its source
and makes it hard for developers to program for it (Example: Roboform).
From the Roboform website:

"RoboForm does not work with the Opera browser (including versions 6 and
7). This is because Opera does not provide the APIs necessary for RoboForm
operation (DOM). Opera only supports Netscape 4 APIs which are not usable
by RoboForm. Version 7 claims to have DOM but they do not tell us how to
access DOM from 3rd party programs that are not JavaScripts on the web
page."

By the way, I use Win98se and IE5.01, and I had Roboform already installed.
Here's an image of the IE plugins that MyIE2 reports:

I suspect that the Roboform you can download from the MyIE website is any
different from the one on the Roboform website. Interesting that the
download named "AiRoboForm-myie2.exe" comes from roboform.com
