Can SKS recommend a free and simpleYouTube download program?
Can I just then link to the flv file or do I need to convert it to avi or
wmv?
I want to play it full screen.
I need a download as I am unsure that I will have web access when showing
the presentation.

I am used to using other videos with Powerpoint (v. 2000).

TIA
Chris

Hi,Chris!
I know a website can convert and download the videos on Youtube:
http://vixy.net.
You go to the website, copy the the YouTube or mySpace video URL, paste the
URL in the conversion box, select the output format such as “AVI,MOV,MP4†and
click the button â€start†. All conversion would be done automatically. Then
download the output video to your local hard disk, and then you can add the
videos in your presentation.

Before spending a lot of time on this, look at a YouTube video full screen.
The vast majority look HORRIBLE when blown up that large.

Thanks, Austin. Wise advice. The one that I am looking at is actually high
quality - produced by the National Archives of Australia!

cheers
