YouTube access your camera and microphone

I was watching a link that someone sent me from Youtube. When you
right click on the video you get a set of "flash" options. One of
them is giving permission for YouTube to access your camera and
microphone.

Boy this would come in handy if you were a peeping tom.

I was expecting someone to jump in and say...yes if you give them
access to your camera they can and do record you, or say......it
doesn't work that way.
