I HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE WINDOWS INSTALLER CONSTANTLY
COMING UP. I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT & UN INSTALLED THE
LAST COUPLE OF WINDOWS UPDATES. HOWEVER PRIOR TO THIS I
HAD UN INSTALLED ROXIO 6, & OFFICE 2003. NOW WHEN I TRY TO
RE INSTALL THEM, I GET THIS MESSAGE. " THE SYSTEM
ADMINISTRATOR HAS SET POLICIES THAT PREVENT THIS
INSTALLATION. I AM LOGGED IN AS THE SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR.
I HAVE ALSO CHECKED THE GROUP POLICIES.

WHAT CAN I DO.

Download the Microsoft Windows Installer CleanUp
program. Run it and see if Roxio and Office are in
the list of programs the utility shows. If they are,
"uninstall" them using that utility and then reboot and
reinstall
the 2 programs, back in the same directory they were
originally in.

Do you remember what programs the Windows Installer was
trying to get you to reinstall when it kept
popping up?

Need more details, is your machine attached to a domain,
and is it ADS.

you could apply the standard policy on your machine to set
it right. You should be able to get it from Technet CD's.
