I have a small peer to peer network with 2 Windows ME and
one XP Pro. I can see all the computers when I click
on "View Workgroup computers". However, when I click on a
computer, I get the error message "//computer1 is not
accessible. You might not have permission to use this
network resource. Contact the administrator of the
server... etc.". I found an article in the Microsoft
support knowledge base that says to turn on the NetBios
and start service for the Computer Explorer. I followed
the direction but still getting the error. I've seen that
other people had posted the same problem. Looks like it
is a common problem. Can anyone help us solve this
problem? Really appreciate your help.

I have the same problem. 3 XP computers, and one W2K.
The W2K machine can see all of the systems except the
main computer, which gives me the same error message you
mention below.
