Hello everyone,
I'm having a strange issue where non admin domain accounts are not able to
log into Vista Business systems. These accounts all work fine in XP and they
work if I make them local admins on the Vista laptops. The error I get is:

"You cannot log on because the logon method you are using is not allowed on
this computer. Please see you network administrator for more details."

I had this issue with a Dell systems right out of the box the other day and
once I reinstalled windows it worked correctly. Reinstalling is not going to
be an option for the systems I have the problem with now.

I have tried making local user accounts and they also produce the same error.

Any idea how to correct this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ken

Do this:
1. Click the Window button
2. In the search box type "gpedit.msc" (without the quotes) and hit enter
3. Accept the elevation dialog
4. Expand Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies
5. Click on User Rights Assignment
6. Ensure that "Deny log on locally" is empty
7. Ensure that "Allow log on locally" includes Administrators, Backup
Operators, Guests, and Users

More than likely Users has been removed from Allow log on locally. Do you
have a Group Policy that does that? In that case, why?
