Just go to Start, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, and Then go to the very
bottom and find something labeled 'Service Pack 2'. Click uninstall and you
are done.

I know, I put it on my computer and everything went crazy. I couldn't
access the internet anymore, and it seemed like everything quit working all
of the sudden. Microsoft only created problems when they were trying to fix
them.

Oh well,
James

James;

Statistically, SP2 installs without any problems on over 90% of the machines
it is applied to. In my own case, I installed it on 28 different computers
of varying configurations and vintages, and had only a single minor problem
on a single machine that was corrected with an updated NIC driver.

You had issues on your machine. I am sorry for that. However, that does
not mean that your machine is "normal". I would suggest that you computer
already had problems prior to SP2, and SP2 simply brought them to the
surface.

I have this problem with SP2, and it may be related to
some hardware driver(s) I have on my computer. I have
been using the same computer hardware for 20 months now,
and everything on my computer came with the machine. I
have not installed anything myself. The night after I
installed SP2, the computer crashed (I left the computer
on overnight), and the blue screen appeared with a
message advicing me to re-install any new hardware if the
problem occurred again. It appears that SP2 wasn't happy
with some of the driver(s) on my computer. Well, it
happened again last night.

Could I be needing some new driver update? Is it similar
to any problem that you may have encountered?

Hi James,

its not that SP2 creates problem, it is intend to protect you from various
potential security issues when you are connected to the outside world. Also
it has been clearly document about the possible problems that could occur.

If some thing is not working after installing SP2 then it may also mean that
there where problems in those areas before which was not taken care and now
it is been highlighted.

if you could post the exact problem then we could find some solution to
resolve them.
