Sounds like a Registry Restriction ........
Connwiz Admin Lock - disables the Internet Connection Wizard
"Connwiz Admin Lock"=dword:00000001
Open Regedit to the following location:
Start | Run (type) "regedit" (no quotes)
If either or both are found either delete the entry or change the value.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control
Panel]
"Connwiz Admin Lock"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control
Panel]
"Connwiz Admin Lock"=dword:00000001
Value Data: (0 = disable restriction, 1 = enable restriction)
Note: always backup the Registry before making any changes. Also be aware
these reg files are intended for stand-alone or home users. Corporate users
are urged to check with their network supervisor before removing
restrictions.
