Hey,

Well, the day has finally arrived. Im moving to York tomorrow first thing!! Im absolutely bricking it!! Dont know anyone, leaving my family, my friends and a girl in Edinburgh. I know, i know, it's gonna be fun etc etc, just thought i'd share my thoughts with you all. And here they are...........................

If you need any local info I know loads of people in York and I am only 40 mins away - it is a lovely, lovely city and there is so much to do. The Northern people will bowl you over with friendliness and a kind welcome I am sure.

Im feeling better about moving at the moment. Not cause of your comments, but cause im p*ssed!! haha. My mates came round for a leaving get together and im pretty wasted. Where is the drunk thread when you need it!! lol.

Hi I grew up in York an its a fab place , luverly buildings seeped in history , a good park and ride scheme and lots of fab tykes to make friends with . Buy a bicycle as parking is limited and the traffic can be horrific . Theres nothing worse that being stuck in traffic or spending hours looking for parking when you pop out for a drink . You will be going for a drink in one of the 370pubs in the city I guess . Enjoy . :lol: :D :cool:

Im here in York now. Its really nice, got a nice flat etc. Only problem is there is no phone like, so no internet. Me and my flatmate are desperate to get it. We do have a BT line in, cause the flat used to have it, but its not connected.

Can anyone out there suggest the best course of action. We need wireless internet with ideally unlimitted downloads but only for SIX MONTHS. Looks like we will have to get a BT line for £11/month anyway. Would also like it connected ASAP, talk talk said at least 6 weeks, useless gits. PLEASE HELP!!!! I just realised im adicted to broadband!! lol.

Cheers, ive found internet access, but would like it at home. We got our BT line connected today, which is good. Just need an ISP now and it looks like its going to be Virgin as they are the only ones without contracts.
 
Zen supply a service without contracts and I think PlusNet do as well.

Zen are very good, I'm not sure about PlusNet.
