Looking into my user accounts,
there I am,and there is a guest account,(OFF)
but then I found an account I never put
there,and have not seen before.

ASP.NET Machine A
Limited account
Password protected

Am I being invaded ? What happens if I
delete it? Why is it there ? What is ASP.NET ?
Input please....
 
The ASP.NET account is created with the installation of the .NET Framework.
It allows your machine to host ASP.NET pages. It's a restricted account
that is setup to provide protect for your machine if you do this type of
development work. Just leave it alone, it won't hurt anything.

I have this in the users section of control panel too. I
think it is something that some software must have
installed. Let me know if you get any more info on this.

It's the .net framework installation which is needed for certain programs.
ignore it - it's harmless.
 
Not a problem.
If you don't do that development, you have no problems.

Next time use the same caution about deleting items as you seem to use
installing SP-2.
Deleting the wrong thing can mess up a computer at least as fast and
as a bad virus or worm
