Larry

Please help me totally remove this ignorant annoying yellow security bar. I
have my security set just how I want it. Each web page I visit it pops up.

Surely one can disable it in the regestry, if not , why?

Thanks, Larry

Description of the Internet Explorer Information Bar in Windows XP SP2
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/843017/en-us
"Important You can turn off the Information Bar in Internet Explorer by
lowering the default security settings. However, we strongly recommend that
you leave these security settings at their default level or higher. The
default security settings in Internet Explorer are designed to help protect
your computer from viruses and from attacks over the Internet."

However, if you Google "disable information bar" there are some work-arounds
that involve the registry - I just can't vouch for how well it works,
however.

Thank you for your time and answer.
I just find it very annoying, may if they could have it show up elsewhere,
like in the status line, wouldn't be so bad.

I always keep all active-x off and only use scripting on email and 1 other
site I download from. Never had a virus, or problem.

active-x is the worst thing microsoft uses. they should ban it.

Anyway Thanks.
