Kenneth

Howdy,

I have a simple form that displays in my browser with a few
fields in yellow. (They were designed in white.)

I have looked at the fields' properties with care, and can
find nothing that would cause this to happen.

What might be doing it?

(If you want to take a look, its at:)

Sincere thanks,

This is not a FrontPage setting. It's a Windows or IE setting. Hubby says it's autofill or
something, and I can't find it, but it's not FP.

Thanks, Thomas. I use a Google toolbar, but I don't get that. Must have
turned it off somehow.

Hi Kenneth,

I believe it is an optional setting in the Google toolbar that causes
this..try going to:

Options | More | and uncheck highlight underneath "find on page"

Whew...

Weird.

That fixed it, but might you know what the GTB was
highlighting? That is, why those particular fields, and not
all of 'em?

Very sincere thanks,

Hi Kenneth,

Hi Joe,

I have learned more...

There are two yellow highlight settings. One is:

Options | Browsing | Autofill Settings | Highlight (lower
right of dialog)

The other:

Options | More | Find on Page | Highlight

As it turns out, it is the first of these that created the
yellow on my system.

I thought about trying to code the page to avoid this, but
then hit upon a much simpler solution (that may bring a
smile...)

All the best, and thanks again,

Hi Kenneth,

Actually it did bring a smile......But......and isn't there always a but!
:-)

I would wonder if people that do not have the Google toolbar
installed..might get confused as to the meaning of that. Do they or do they
not need to fill in the first two form fields? I didn't check to see if you
made those fields required..if you did it might be less of a concern!

Hi Joe,

I don't recall if any are required...

Thanks for the tip, I'll look into it,
