Yahoo Pops is pooped

Yahoo Pops used to work fine and now it doesn't always work. I try to get
or send mail using Outlook Express and YP often just closes. It does work
intermitently so I know it can work. I've tried reinstalling. Didn't help.
Are there any fixes or other programs that do the same thing?

Gmail now has pop servers for gmail. I also use yahoo pops, but haven't
encountered any problems as of yet, not with it anyway.

Really? Cool! :) Let's hope this forces the other mailers (Yahoo,
Hotmail)
to drop their charges to access POP mail -- just as Gmail forced them to
upgrade their storage capacity. :)

I don't think so. I think Gmail just allow its POP feature for preview
and they will close it someday.
Gmail can't get any ad revenue from their member if they collect mails
from from their POP.

My server doesn't have any previous articles from this thread, so
I don't know if anyone mentioned FreePOPs for access to webmail.
I've used it for Hotmail, pre-POP Gmail, Netscape/AOL, and Yahoo.
It works well, is active in development and changes to any of the
services it covers are usually supported very quickly.

Poppeeper rules. Supports everything, including gmail. Fast updates
when probs arise from Snotmail and Yoohoo updating their interfaces.
Active support community.
