Go to add and remove prgrams First and delete all the programs related to java runtime and java
then go to java.com to install java

I had trouble with Java for awhile. Make sure all your temporary files are
deleted, and your cookies, and Java from add/remove programs. Go to the Java
site and try it again. It worked for me after I deleted all the stuff above.

I think i'm having the same problem. when I enter a room in yahoo chess, it
shows a version conflict error saying." You have an old version of the client
in your cache. You will need to restart your browser and come back to
retrieve the current version. If restarting does not work, manually clearing
your browser's chache should fix the problem." Well i did those, event reset
my IE, uninstalled and re installed java, but still it comes back to the same
version conflict error. Any ideas?

Yahoo Chess Problem Solved!...

You guys still having problems with Yahoo Chess??

The answer has been given many times on the Yahoo forums!

The problem is that you didn't properly sign out of Yahoo Chess or the Yahoo System the last time you were logged in. The Yahoo system assumes you're still playing chess while you are yet logging in.

Solution: Open one window. Sign completely into Yahoo chess, the sign out properly.

You should have no problem after you sign in again. You must make sure you sign out properly every time.

This problem has been bothering me for a long time, but has never bothered me since I figure this out!

Hey I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT YOU HAVE TO REBOOT YOUR MACHINE!

Open one window, sign into Yahoo Chess: before the actual window where the error appears, then sign out properly by clicking the "sign out" link. Then reboot your machine.

Solution: Open one window, leaving only one window open. Sign into
Yahoo chess, the sign out properly.

PLEASE THEN MAKE SURE YOU REBOOT YOUR MACHINE! I had forgotten to add
this important item earlier!
