Yahoo domain name

A friend just emailed me a link to a Yahoo promotion advertizing "your own
domain name" for $2.99/year. It looks like this isn't a domainname@yahoo but
the "real thing." Question is, there have to be some strings attached.
Anybody know?

I don't see any strings attached.

There is a lot of competition these days for domain registering.
