Please take the time to read this one. It's an eye opener.

Ben Edelman has done some outstanding research on this and other issues. He
finds the same problems with Google. One has to wonder if all (MSN?) portals
and search sites don't share the problem of funding spyware.

Bob,

Most search engines do suffer from the general syndication fraud and click
fraud problems I describe. Some more than others, though.

Particularly safe are those pay-per-click search engines with limited or no
syndication. For example, to the best of my knowledge, MSN does not pay
others to show its pay-per-click ads. There's therefore no one with a
special incentive to click MSN PPC ads -- no one who can get paid for each
(supposed) click on such ads. In part as a consequence of this lack of
economic incentives, MSN does not suffer the problems I described in my
article today.

Hi Ben and Bob

Stopbadware.org published their first reports about badware.

http://www.stopbadware.org/

Google is one main sponsor for this and I have not noticed
any change in Google searches withhelp from Siteadvisor.

Has Google done anything to remove this stinking badware
from ads or search results ?

Is it just a "trick" for Google to be a sponsor.... ;)

regards
plun
