Does anyone know how to get the values I assign to the y axis scale remain
static. I don't want them to be automatically changed as excel does.

Thanks!

Format Axis/ Scale
Unitick the Auto from Min & Max

Hi,

You need to uncheck the Auto checkboxes on the scale tab of the format
dialog. Double click the Y axis to display the format dialog.

You should find though that entering your own min/max values will
automatically remove the Auto tick.

Cheers

I did uncheck those but when I put in my own mins and max - it changes them
on the chart to it's own values based on the increments. When I try to
indicate I want no increments - it says I have to have at least 1 for those.
Here's what I am trying to do - I have a pay scale that ranges from like
45555 through 99902. I can set salaries anywhere in between those ranges.
What I want to do is show where each of the salaries fall in those ranges but
without any artificial ticks in between. Does that make sense? These
salaries are random and so they don't go on a logical 100, 500, 1000 scale...
:(

thanks for any advice you can provide! Julie

If you set the major & minor units to 54347, then it won't put any extra
ticks between 45555 & 99902
