My son got on my brand new computer before I could install
the parental controls and spent a day surfing xxx web
sites. Now, I've got offensive ads that replace
legitimate graphics on just about every web site that I
visit. Also, there's a toolbar in Internet Explorer that
has links to xxx web sites that I can't delete no matter
what I seem to do. Please help me regain control of my
computer!

Removal Tool, your choice, novice users, Lavasoft's Ad-aware,
http://www.lavasoft.de/res/aaw6.exe
Lavasoft/Ad-aware home: http://www.lavasoftusa.com

Advanced users, SpyBot Search & Destroy,
http://studserver.uni-dortmund.de/~su1669/spybotsd12.exe
SpyBot home: http://security.kolla.de/
SpyBot How-To: http://www.tomcoyote.org/SPYBOT/

Install either but both are not necessary, reboot, read FAQ and overview, use
online update feature to obtain the latest reference files, scan for Spyware
much like you would with your pre-installed anti-virus scanner.
Rid your machine of unwanted Spyware pests.

The only thing that I can suggest is to download and run the free version of
AdAware (www.lavasoft.de), it will remove any spyware on your machine which
I am pretty sure is the case.

Also, remove any extra activex controls by going to Tools>Internet Options
and under the Temporary Internet Files section click Settings, then in the
box that pops up click View Objects remove anything suspicious.

Hope this helps
