xppro freezing every 5 secs for

xppro freezes every 5 secs for 5 secs tried everything but a reinstall does it sound like a bios setting or a software glich or is my mb stuffed. Help its like my pc has developed a stutter. When you type it remembers what you have typed and what you have done it just spits it out every 5 secs!!!

hi stuart,
Did you install any new hardware/software? Have you opened the task manager
and watched performance graphs?
