I'm having problems with the above. I am the sole user on aXPHome+SP1
system. I downloaded a panoramic video view of the Swiss Alps ( I think
it might be a Java files) but when I disconnect, I cannot 'recall' the
video to watch it offline. I can do it on an old 98SE system though.
I noticed that if I go to Documents & Settings\Mike\Local
Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content IE5\4 folders each with
desktop.ini, but there no other files at all. I am assuming that the TI
files would go here but when I used Internet Explorer\Tools\Internet
Options\Settings\Move Folder no files were put there, in fact the four
(seemingly) randomly named folders were not there either.
I also have a similar layout in Default User, but again, no files other
than desktop.ini.
Where should these files go, why are they not going there, and where are
they? Should there be 3 versions of Temporary Internet Files, is so,
which is the correct one? How can I resolve this?
I hope this makes some sort of sense and that some kind soul can help me
here!
Thanks.

Rosie;

Some Temporary Internet Files are hidden.

Create a folder in My Documents and call it something
like, My Download Files and use that to download files to.

Always download to that folder and you'll know where
you downloaded stuff.

Temporary Internet Files are *Temporary*.
TIF's can be deleted automatically, if option is checked
in IE | Tools | Internet Options | Advanced tab |
Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed
[[Specifies whether to clear the Temporary Internet Files folder when you
close the browser.]]
Disk Cleanup can delete TIF's.
