In target designer I enter a pid number. Once the image is on the target
system and I am running embedded xp, is it possible to change the pid number?


I have found the number in the registry. Maybe I can just change It to make
this os use a different pid number.

When I use the term pid number I am refering to the number provided by
microsoft as the image license. It comes on a yellow sticker on top of an
index card in a sealed envelope.

No, it is not. (almost not possible)

Search this NG archive for some related discussions. I think we posted a few reg keys that you can try to use to hack the thing. But
I don't think those will work for you anyway :-)
