I cannot figure out why windows XPE is rebooting on me about every hour.
Seems to be when the event in event viewer is caught :

Source: Serial
Type: Error
Event ID: 8
Description: No Parameters subkey was found for user defined data. This is
odd, and it also means no user configuration can be found.

Woundering if this might be the issue or something else anyone has run
across. And if so how to fix it?

Thanks

You can simply create the parameters subkey and leave it empty to get rid of
that error. I've never seen that cause reboots though.

Thanks for your help...

There are a few ways. You can create a component which creates:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Serial\Parameters.
Or, you can add that to the additional registry area for the SLX itself.

Looks as though it is a bad board I am using. Because it ended up stopping
to work the end of the day.

Thanks...
