I have the problem that after a new image the display resolution is always
back on 640x480. I would like to set this by default to 1024x768.

I have looked at all the components but, although I can set the resolution
after de FBA with the Display Control, I cannot find any setting to built it
into the distribution.

Anybody any idea?

Locate your Display adapter component in TD. Check in the Settings, there
should be a drop down list of resolutions, bit depths and refresh rates that
you can set as the default.

I have three entries which relate to my (onboard) Intel VGA chip all called:

Intel(R) 82852/82855 GM/GME/PM/GMV Processor to I/O Controller xxxx

where xxx is 3580, 3584 and 3585 for the three instances.

None of these have a drop down option in the settings.

It seems that I have no other components relating to the VGA. Do you know
what this means?

aSimMetry,

I don't know why you can't see a graphic controller component in your Config. It is usually there with Intel chipset driver package.
You should be looking for the component that is based on "Device: Display" prototype.

Anyway, you should first read the tip page I provided in other post to this thread. It will give you a general idea where the
problem is.

As an easy fix (assuming the right display driver is installed on your runtime), you can include "Device: Display" component
manually ("Software : System : System Services : Base" category) to your Config and change the screen resolution and etc. on that
components settings page.

It sounds maybe weird but in the "Software : System : System Services : Base"
category I do not have the "Device: Display" prototype. I searched for
Display and except voor many display adaptors and the prototype Display
Control Pannel, which is allready included in the build, I did not find any
prototype that seems to be the one necessary.

The TD version is 2.00.0807.0.

It looks like my Intel 82852/82855 component should have the settings for
res, color etc.. as you wrote, but it hasn't. Comparing to the Intel 82815
component I see the settings you mentioned.

Do you know how I can change this or how I can get the correct component?

aSimMetry,

If you have the SLD for your graphic controller component, in CD set the prototype field for it to the "Device: Display".
