Hi ME and Kenny,
To make XPE function as a domain controller you would have to
extract all of the components from the Server OS, and incorporate them
into the XPE... this is not currently possible, nor would it be allowed
by the Additional license provisions for XPE. There are "embedded"
versions of the Server 2003, but not in the sense of XPE... they're not
componentized, they are embedded by license restriction only... if you
contact me OL, I can elaborate.
HTH,

Subject: Re: XPe as Active Directory Server possible?
Originally Microsoft had developed the Embedded NT for just such a
thing.
This was based on NT 4 however. I have never seen anything additional,
and I
don't know that Embedded NT is available any longer. I would also like
to
find a simplified Domain controller for Home use. I think at this time
computers in the home are growing to the size of a small network.
