I have done sandra's ALU and FLU bench on the two above processors and it
seems as though the speeds are virtually identical. Should this be the
case, and if not why would I be getting these numbers. They are both at
210x9.5 presently, The 2600 gained a good amount of speed from this setting
as compared to factory default however the 2400 only gained 8 points, but
still its just under the 2600

A got the two cpu at home
the xp 2400 t-bred run at 2.08 ghz

and the xp 2600 barton is running at 1914mghz ( if it's a barton that
you got)

bot will perform the same because they have almost the same ability to
calculate. i did some benchmark on my pc an a7n8x-x nf2 vs an old
gabite mobo a k7 triton and the 2400 xp got a score abit higher than
my 2600xp barton model 10.

What better in the xp 2600 is the 333fsb so i'm getting better memory
bandwith for video game in 3d stuff. plus this cpu is suppose to be
build with 21 new instruction with 512k of L2 mem.

So there is no gain in speed unless you whant a xp2800 barton witch
runs at 2.08 ghz

Hmm a bench between the to ( 2400 and 2800) would be something cool
to do...
