i am using windows 2000 pro at this moment.i hava a full
version of xp home on cd rom. how would i install xp on my
computer?just insert the cd and take it from there or do i
have to wipe my hard drive first?

You would need to start clean because XP Home (not being a 'professional'
OS) is considered a 'downgrade' from 2000 Pro. The 2000 Pro CD can still be
used as a qualifying product, however. You will need to see your
system/motherboard manual to learn how to set the BIOS to boot from the CD.
