There are two utlities that address "rolling back". If you want to restore
your system to a previous state (if you have installed a new program, for
example, and it causes an error), you would need to use System Restore. You
would access this by going to START|PROGRAMS| ACCESSORIES| SYSTEM TOOLS|
SYSTEM RESTORE.
If it is a driver issue, you can use Driver Rollback. You would use this in
the instance that you have updated a driver and then need to go back to the
previous one for one reason or another. To access Driver Rollback:
1. Right click on MY COMPUTER
2. Select PROPERTIES
3. Select the HARDWARE tab
4. Select DEVICE MANAGER
5. Right click the device you are having trouble with and then select
Properties
6. Select the DRIVER tab and then Select Driver Rollback.
You can also use Help and Support in Windows XP (in the Start Menu) to give
you further instruction and information on how this works.
