My friend is having a problem with her laptop. When she tries to boot up, her
OS won't open and she gets a error message stating that the system can't open
right now, or something. Sorry. I wish I knew exactly. She has XP. I was
thinking I might update the latest Trend Micro Pattern File, along with the
sysclean.com, and just run that on her laptop. Shouldn't I be able to do so,
as long as I already have the most recent Pattern File in the same folder as
sysclean? And shouldn't I just be able to run that scan on her crippled
system?
If not, any suggestions as to how run a scan, if the OS won't even open?
I normally use Trend Micro Sysclean with the most recent Pattern File, and
David Lipman's tool SmitFraud.exe. Outstanding scan. If I can just get those
both going, I'll be a hero.
Any comments, please let me know.
Thank you.
