Recently my computer hard drive became corrupted and I attempted to
re-install XP. The program began the install and then notified me that the
"disk was corrupt and could not be repaired". I installed a new hard drive
and still XP told me the same thing. The install program began and created
two folders on the drive and then gave me the same message. I formatted the
hard drive and tried both FAT32 and NTFS but it still would not load giving
me the same message. Is the CD corrupt or what???

Try copying the XP CD to a folder on your hard drive. If you can copy the
files without error, then the problem is more likely with the memory or
other hardware (such as the CDROM drive) on your computer.

If the CD copies without error, then try installing from the folder on your
hard drive.
