XP won't boot.

Upon boot up, and following the black and white text screens the Win XP logo
appears momentarily on the screen, the screen then goes dark for about 15
seconds, a momentary flach takes place and the boot process begins again. I
solved a simular situation in the past using the recovery function on the
Windows XP disk, and running "chkdsk /p" from the "c:" prompt, but it did not
solve the problem this time.

I pulled the hard drive and installed it as a slave drive on another PC, it
opened okay and I ran a virus scan and turned up no infected files.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

could be a graphics card problem try reseating your graphics card, or if you
have one available try another card
