I just installed a new motherboard for a friend. I can boot
from an old windows98se installation cd so and everything
in the CMOS looks good.I am assuming the hardware is
configured properly. When I remove the bootalble cd and try
to boot from the XP on the harddrive the computer restarts.
No luck with safe mode either. It looks like it gets to a
drivers folder then reboots. How can I get the drivers for
the new board loaded when I can't get into Windows? More
trouble. My friend cannot find here XP installation CD ROM.

Thanks Alvin,
That looks like it might do the trick. I appreciate your
help and I will surely give it a try. Have a great weekend.

A Repair Install is pretty much mandatory when changing motherboards.
Here is a web site that has step by step instructions that might be a
bit easier to follow than the Knowledge Base article:

Good luck
