XP with no Administrator

Cleverly this newbie listed himself as "limited user" when upgrading my
son's bequeathed ME. Now I can't even use Uninstall or make simple changes.
I don't have proper authority.

How do I start over and claim my rightful Administrator right?

I'm not sure how (other than reinstalling XP)... but you'ld do much
better to ask in a Windows newsgroup specifically for WinXP; this
newsgroup is for people getting started with the database management
program Microsoft Access.
