XP Windows Update, isn't updating.

HELP!

The Windows Update isn't working. I goto the site, click
on the install updates and then nothing.

I was getting an error message saying it couldnt do the
update (sorry I can't remember all the details).

It would download it, but would not install it. It would
get almost to the end.

Any help would be greatly appreciated... I've been
working on the computer for the last several days, and am
getting no where fast.

I've tried to access that website from the affected

use another computer, there is no reason it should be blocking it.

Check to make sure your system date hasn't been reset to something distant.
Windows update will not work past a certain date range from the current
date.
